Economic Sanctions and Export Controls Compliance

Purchases and sales of Guidant products or software and access to corresponding technical information provide in this knowledge base are subject to applicable economic sanctions and export control laws and regulations, including but not limited to those administered by the EU, UK, and US Departments of State, Commerce (BIS), and Treasury (OFAC). By using this knowledge base, you acknowledge and agree to comply with such laws and regulations and refrain from re-exporting, transferring, or otherwise making our products, software, and technical information available to restricted parties and regions.

The following suggested due diligence practices are recommended to ensure compliance with economic sanctions and export controls:

Use of similar compliance terms in contracts
Third-party screenging and end user declarations to prevent access by individuals or entities on a government-issued restricted party list, such as OFAC's Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list, or diversion to a sanctioned country or region
Thorough product review to determine if any export licenses or other authorizations are required
